#1. 'Performing in Bombay'
In 1987 Madalsa was awarded a $4,000
Canada Council Grant  to continue studying
Indian Music under the tutelage of the renowned Indian Classical Performing Artist/Teacher - Pandit Chandrakant Kapileshwari. She happily lived the life, and customs of the  great mother land - India, while studying, travelling and performing for over three extensive months. Madalsa, being one of the first western white women to be given this opportunity to learn Indian classical music, was also featured in the television, radio and newspaper media.  She also had the distinct honour and pleasure to met and/or perform with many of the prominent artists, musicians, and writers of the times through out India.
