Madalsa lived contentedly for five years, (1996-2001) while composing daily, beside and over looking Mud Lake, which was full of unique and protected creatures of the forests, like deer, wild rabbits, turtles, fish, wild geese, a heron colony, golden finches, doves, crows and many rare and wonderful wild flowers. Close by as well to the Ottawa Parkway she walked joyously and elated, along the glorious Ottawa River banks, with her headphones and walkman, listening regularly to the newly made recordings of her vocal and instrumental compositions. As Madalsa continued to write her music and lyrics, the great revelation was dawning - that her awareness appeared to be merging with the vast oceanic consciousness, and that the source indeed lay within. Watching the river, the horizon where the sky and river meet, the rising tide, and the birds that would drink from it, she felt extremely calm letting her mind stretch out with the blue of the skies reflection, and be entertained with the sparkle of the sun's rays off of the gentle rippling at the water's edge.
